Ayurvedic Concept
The menopause condition arises approximately between the ages of 45 to 50, when the menstruation ceases. The decrease in hormones is known as climacteric. It is the long process that begins with women in there 40’s. In Ayurveda, it is well described that menses start approximately at the age of 12 and cease at the near age of 50. Between these years doshas (humors) of body also get adjusted. In Ayurveda at this stage, Pitta (fire) gets elevated, (+++), Vata (air) less then Pitta (fire) (++) and Kapha (water)(+) decrease in their quality and quantity. These changes produce many symptoms according to their amount.
According to Ayurveda
Menoaid is a balanced formula for easy transition of Menopause period without any major physical and psychological upset to females. The herbs used for these problems are rich sources of pythooestrogen (plant estrogens are hormones), which our body accepts more easily, then synthetic hormones, which are very much helpful in checking the menopausal syndrome. Deficiency of Kapha (water), which may be correlated with collagen in the body, and increase in Vata (air) (Porousness of tissues including bones) are the main causative factors for this syndrome. It is the collagen that holds the minerals like calcium in the bones. So reforming of collagen is, therefore, a basic need for the correction of the menopausal related pathology. The herbs in Menoaid are mostly Vata Shamak (Air pacifying), some herbs have Tridosh-shamak (Balance all the three humors) and Rasayana (rejuvenating) properties. So by their joint action they check the various symptoms related to this syndrome.
