As a Dietary Supplement
Helps promote healthy respiratory, digestive, and nervous system. The Sanskrit name for Holy Basil is Tulsi. This sacred plant is cherished in every Hindu house for healthy body and soul. It enhances body's resistance to changes in weather, climate, and environmental conditions (like cold, wet or dry).
Tulsi offers a wide range of health benefits, mostly in aiding the function of the respiratory system. The dried plant has been used for centuries as a stand alone health product in the form of a cooked down extract or tea. It is traditionally used to promote optimum respiratory health. Recent investigations have shown that Tulsi has anti-stress, adaptogenic, anti-secretory, histamine-antagonistic, antibacterial, antiseptic, antispasmodic, diaphoretic, nervine, anabolic, cardiac-depressant, and anti-fertility properties. In addition it offers a hypoglycemic smooth muscle relaxant to promote smooth muscle contraction
