The skin lesions due to vatta (Air) vitiation are dry, dusky-reddish in color and hard, unevenly spread, have rough edges, are thin, slightly elevated externally, numbed as if paralyzed, covered with bristling hair, afflicted with extreme piercing pain, have scanty purulent or serious discharge. The other features due to Vatta (air) predominance include roughness, dryness, pricking sensation, tremors, blisters, contraction, fatigue, rigidity, numbness, ulceration and fissures.

The skin lesions due to Kapha (water) vitiation are glossy, large, raised, smooth, stable and have swollen edges of Whitish red shade covered with white rows of hair, with excessive thick white discharge, very moist, itchy and affected with parasites

Karanja seed oil (Pongamia glabra): It is anti bacterial, anti inflammatory, wound healer and painkiller.
Jaitoon Oil (Olea europoca): Useful in skin dryness and itching. Fetid Casea

Neem oil (Azadiracha indica): well known antiseptic and antibacterial used for various skin disorders since years old. It is also a blood-purifying agent.
Bakuchi Seed Oil (Psoralea corylifolia): Useful in Liprotic patches, ulcers Leukoderma and skin affections.
Heena Oil (Lawsonia alba): Used to improve skin complexion and in burning sensation of skin.
Haldi Oil (Curcuma Longa): Antiseptic and used for improving the fairness or complexion of the skin. It is a wound healer (micro bactericidal) as well as painkiller.
Mustard seed oil (Sarson) (Brassica juncea): Mustard is useful in skin disorders as well as it acts as a pain killer.

Neem Oil

Antiseptic oil

Neem is a well known antiseptic, anthelminitic, and antibacterial. Used for various skin disorders, acts as a blood-purifying agent. Neem has specific action on leprotic skin, swelling of glands, and has healing properties. Neem oil is used to treat severe skin conditions, including eczema and psoriasis. It gives luster and shine to dogs and other pet furs, while soothing their skin and keeping bugs away. A small amount of neem oil (in water) sprayed on plants, will act as a powerful, yet natural and non-polluting insecticide. The virtues of neem oil are celebrated by traditional Indian medicine and are increasingly appreciated all over the world.
Application
Oil should be applied few times a day to skin and rubbed-in gently. Use few drops of neem oil for your bath tub, but try to avoid the eye contact.

Bakuchi Seed Oil

Antileucodermic oil

This is an Ayurvedic herb. It is found in sandy and dry areas of India. Used in Ayurveda for curing Leucoderma and other disorders of the skins.
It was shown to improve the color of skin (including removing white spots).

This oil has an irritant and specific effect on the skin and mucous membrane. It has a powerful effect against the skin streptococci. This essential oil however varies enormously in its effect on different persons. With the majority (95%), it causes only redness of the leucodermic patches. In a small number (5%), there is an extreme sensitiveness to the oil, so much so that blistering may be produced. The strength of the oil may, therefore, be varied in such a way as not to allow its action go beyond the state of redness of the leucodermic patches. So far as it is known, Psoralea corylifolia is the only oil that has the dual action on both Rouget’s cells and the melanoblastic cells of the skin. In leukoderma, the melanoblastic cells do not function properly and their stimulation by the oil leads them to form and exude pigment. This, in turn, gets gradually diffused into discolorized areas of skin.
