Natural anti bacterial herb
Ayurvedic Uses and Actions: Zinger is pungent in taste, heavy, anti-unctuous & sharp in characteristics and hot in potency.
It is carminative diphoretic and spasmolytic. It is also known for its anti-bacterial, analgesic, anti-secretory, anti-convulsent, anti-fungal, anti-allergic, anti-tumor and anti-oxidant characteristics. This is why it can also be used as a good food preservative.
Common-indications
It is used for cold induced problems, nausea, asthma, colic, heart palpitation, cough, dyspepsia, headache & rheumatism, swellings, loss of appetite. Ginger has tonic effects on the heart and may lower the blood pressure, restricting blood flow in peripheral areas of the body. Ginger can lower cholesterol levels by reducing cholesterol absorption in the blood and liver.
Contra-Indication: Because it is sharp & hot in potency, so it should not be used in leprosy, retention of urine etc.
